Teaches undergraduate and graduate-level coursework in the successful candidate's area of expertise within the College of Music's Commercial Music and Music Industry degree programs.
Supervises student practical and internships.
Actively engages in curriculum development, recruitment, and overall expansion of this growing program.
Participates in activities related to the academic mission of the University, including service on committees and student advising.
Participates in professional service appropriate to rank.
A graduate degree in a related field is required at the time of appointment. Experience is substitutable for education as appropriate.
The successful candidate will:
· demonstrate experience in teaching and/or mentoring in a university or professional environment
· have experience in the music industry including recording, live sound, and production
· demonstrate proficiency in Pro Tools and other industry-aligned DAW programs related to music production and recording
An undergraduate degree in music is preferred.
Appointment will begin August 6, 2024.
