Abstract

This study reports the findings of a statewide study of the business practices of music groups. The goal of this study was to determine whether the same factors that differentiated successful businesses from non-successful businesses might also apply to music groups. To add structure to the analysis of business characteristics, the criteria for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards Program were used to identify the categories and factors of analysis and to structure the questionnaire.
